WELCOME!

The Vault is a digital suite of mental health support tools that empowers grassroots football with its collective mental health.

1 in 4 of us will experience mental health difficulties each year and with this, it is important that we all take time to look after our mental health.

Mental health does not discriminate. Whatever your colour, gender, job title, income, religious persuasion or postcode, we all have mental health and it is just like our fingerprint - completely unique to us.

While 13.5 million people play football regularly in England, the total number of people involved in grassroots football weekly, including spectators, referees, volunteers and other roles, could easily exceed 40 million. This underscores grassroots football's massive scale, importance and influence in English society, it’s economy and people’s mental health.

The Football Mental Health Alliance

A network of professional football clubs and County FAs who have come together to educate and support the football community with their collective mental health.

We believe that individuals regardless of their colour, gender, race, religious persuasion or postcode should have support for their mental health.

We are partnering to impact change in the mental health landscape from grassroots upwards. Football clubs are in the strongest possible position to influence fans positively around the education and implementation of mental health awareness and self-care.

We have collaborated with specialist psychologists, coaches, parents/carers, licenced FIFA Agents and ex-pros to identify key challenges and create innovative solutions for The Vault.

Here at The Football Mental Health Alliance, we believe that football has a huge responsibility to those involved in the sport to continually help to build and maintain the mental health of their stakeholders.

The Vault is constantly growing and evolving, with new resources added monthly to keep things fresh and relevant to what's happening in society and football on an ongoing basis.

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the urgent need for accessible and anonymous mental health products as people have since increasingly sought out digital options. These services eliminate barriers to early intervention, providing comfort and confidentiality to those in need.

Additionally, digital support also meets the demands of those who cannot or choose not to attend in-person well-being sessions offered.

The Vault is the solution. Accessible anytime. Anonymous sign up. Always growing.
